The Buffalo Courier Nr. 134 (Buffalo, New York) erwähnt Bruckner auf S. 17 in einer Saisonübersicht:

     Boston and Chicago have just finished their respective seasons of orchestral concerts. Boston has had twenty-four concerts under Wilhelm Gerick's [sic] direction, and Chicago twenty-two under Theodore Thomas.
     The Boston programmes have brought forward the following music for the first time at these concerts: Bruckner, symphony No. 4. in E flat major, "Romantic"; Chalbrier [sic], bourree fantasque, scored by Felix Mottl; [...].
     The Chicago orchestra, under Theodore Thomas, played for the first time during the present series the following music:
