The Dayton Daily News Nr. 73 bringen auf S. 11 einen Beitrag zum Thema Musik, in dem auch die Wiener Verhältnisse zur Sprache kommen:
"                       IN MUSIC'S REALM
On Thursday afternoon Henry Ditzel read an interesting sketch of Berlin as a musical center and the music season there, before a small company of musical friends. The sketch, which will be interesting to musical folks, is given herewith:
[... über England und Frankreich ...].
Vienna was the golden seat of music fore more than a century. What an array of glorious names–Haydn, Gluck and Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert, Brahms and Bruckner–they all lived there and produced an interminable series of masterpieces, the delight of the whole world for 150 years.
But the present has nothing to add [... nach Johann Strauß und Hugo Wolf ... wichtig sei nun Berlin ...]. Thousands of young musicians, eager to cultivate their talents, flock to Berlin from all parts  of the world."
