Amerikanische Erstaufführung von Gustav Mahlers Vierter Symphonie durch das New York Symphony Orchestra unter Walter Damrosch in New York.
In dem ausführlichen Einführungsartikel der New York Times Nr. 17111 auf S. 40 (mit Notenbeispielen) wird Bruckner [irrig] als Lehrer Mahlers erwähnt:

He studied philosophy at the Vienna University and was a pupil at the Conservatory of Bruckner and Epstein. ...]. His achievements in composition are such that it is time his music was introduced to the attention of Americas music lovers. RICHARD ALDRICH." (*).
In einer Buchbesprechung der Buffalo Sunday Morning News Nr. 5 auf S. 8 wird auch Bruckner erwähnt:
