     The second chapter of the work recently published in Chicago under the title "Theodore Thomas: an Autobiography," is given up to a list of compositions which the editor of the book, Mr. George P. Upton, asserts were introduced into this country by Mr. Thomas. [... angeblich sorgfältige Recherchen, dennoch Verdacht auf falsche Informationen zur Mehrung des Ruhmes von Thomas, zudem Rivalität mit Damrosch ... Fehlerbeispiele (Beethovens 9. Sinfonie, Quartett op. 130 etc.) ...].
     In making the following corrections [...] the sources of information are the Tribune's criticisms written by the same hand for the last twenty-four years [... und andere Quellen ...].
