The Minneapolis Tribune Nr. 224 (Star Tribune, Minneapolis, Minnesota) schreibt auf S. 20:
" BOSTON SYMPHONY CONCERT.
THE Boston Symphony orchestra forsook Bruckner and Bischoff and settled down to Handel, MacDowell and Gotz for his concert Saturday afternoon in Carnegie hall.
" A DAY WITH DIRECTOR PAUR
DIRECTOR EMIL PAUR of the Pittsburgh orchestra furnishes a pretty good example of the man who works 14 hours a day and still manages to keep in good health and spirits. [... Proben ... Künstler ... Korrespondenzen ... Zukunftsaussichten ... Pittsburgh ... Lebenslauf ...].
How He Reached Maturity.
Mr. Paur is 50 years old, and was born at Czernoviyz [sic], Austria. He entered the Vienna Conservatory of Music when a young man, and there became a pupil of Hellmsberger [sic], Dessoff and Anton Bruckner. After several years as a member of the Imperial Opera House orchestra at Vienna, he went to Berlin to conduct an orchestra. [... weitere Stationen ...]." (**).
