The Cincinnati Enquirer Nr. 47 gibt auf S. 37 (= S. 3 des 4. Teils) in der 3. Spalte einen Überblick über das Mai-Festival:
"           In Music's Domain.
[...]
     Statistics are always interesting; that is, to a portion of the people. [... Entwicklung des Festivals seit 1873 ...].
     At the first festival Beethoven's Ninth Symphony was given, and the Fifth; [... Chorwerke ... Aufführungszahlen ...]. The modern composers Elgar, Gounod, Rubinstein, Dvorak, Saint-Saens, Verdi, Becker, Bruckner, Grieg and Cesar Franck have had representation through the medium of their greatest works. Of compositions written expressly for the festival [... Beispiele ... 18. Festival am 5. bis 8.5.1908 ... geplante Hauptwerke ...]." (*).

Der Lexington Leader (Lexington, Kentucky) erwähnt auf S. 19 (= S. 3 des 3. Teils) Bruckner in Zusammenhang mit Emil Paur:
"                   PITTSBURG ORCHESTRA.
     The Pittsburg Orchestra, which will give two splendid concerts in the Kexington Opera House on the afternoon and evening of Tuesday February 25, is one of the few great orchestras of the United States. It is under the direction of Emil Paur, probably one of the most celebrated orchestra leaders of modern times [...].
     Mr. Paur is 50 years old, and was born at Czernoviyz [sic], Austria. He entered the Vienna Conservatory of Music when a young man, and there became a pupil of Hellmsberger [sic], Dessoff and Anton Bruckner. After several years as a member of the Imperial Opera House Orchestra at Vienna, he went to Berlin to conduct an orchestra. [... weitere Stationen ...]." (**).
