"     Josef Stransky, who succeeds the late Gustav Mahler as conductor of the New York Philharmonic Society, and who will conduct the three concerts which are to be given in Washington by this organization next season, is a Bohemian by birth [... 39 Jahre, Prag, Dvorak und Smetana ...]. His preparation was most complete comprising a thorough course under Jadassohn at Leipzig, and under Fuchs and Bruckner at Vienna. After five years [... Prag, 7 Jahre in Hamburg ...]."
