Ankündigung der 7. Symphonie für den 5./6.1.1917 in The Chicago Tribune Nr. 53 auf S. 48 (= S. 2 des 7. Teils):
"         The Orchestra
THIS week's programme, for Friday afternoon and Saturday night, has been made up by Mr. Stock as a memorial to Theodore Thomas: his handiwork is represented in four of the five numbers listed. He provides a concert-ending for the overture to Mozart's "Don Giovanni"; and the orchestrations of Schubert's first march in E-flat, the andante with varitions from Beethoven's "Kreutzer" sonata, and Chopin's polonaise in A-flat-major were made by him. The symphony for the week is Bruckner's seventh."
