Die Aufführung der 3. Symphonie [am 16./17.2.1917] wird kurz erwähnt in einer Konzertankündigung in The Long Beach Telegram Nr. 55 (The Long Beach Gaily News, Long Beach, California) auf S. 11:
"                   SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
     Programs of the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra have been of continuous interest, each succeeding pair of concerts having something new to offer to Southern California concert goers. [... nächstes Konzert mit Humperdinck, Borodin, Ravel und Dubois ... über Borodin ...]. His Symphony is as representative as was the Bruckner symphony of the last pair of concerts.
     Ravel's work show [sic] another angle of modern composition, [...]."
