The Manchester Guardian Nr. 23806 registriert in einer Konzertübersicht auf S. 7, dass Mahler (4. Symphonie in Liverpool am 28.11.1922) und Bruckner [4. Symphonie am 20.11.1922] möglicherweise "wiederbelebt" werden:

"            MUSIC AND DRAMA.

     For the Hallé Concert on Thursday [... Mozarts "Dorfmusikanten-Sextett" ... andere Konzertprojekte ...].

    After a period of uncertainty, in which it was crossed off the prospectus, the G major Symphony of Gustav Mahler was after all given at the Liverpool Philharmonic Society's concert last Tuesday, with Miss Van Dresser in the solo soprano part. Both Bruckner and Mahler have therefore been revived in England during the last few days, but both composers have a long way to go before their music will be known amongst us.
