The New York Times Nr. 23696 meldet auf S. 125 (= S. 5 des 8. Teils) die Aufführung der g-Moll-Ouvertüre in Köln [vorläufige Datierung: Oktober 1922]:
"Current Music Notes of Interest And Events in Foreign Lands

            CENTRAL EUROPE.

Rudolf Polk, an American violinist, gave an orchestral Concert in Cologne that The Cologne Gazette thinks must have cost some American dollars. The violinist is praised for his technical and artistic accomplishment.
                           —–—–—–
In this concert a newly discovered overture in G minor by Bruckner was played. It was written in the composer's "middle period." There was also a piece called "Music for Orchestra," by Rudi Stephan, a young Cologne composer, who was killed in the war. The piece is highly praised as original, modern without burning bridges in the rear. Finally, a set of orchestral variations on a waltz of Strauss by Adolf Busch."
