The Morning Call Nr. 107 (Paterson, New Jersey) bringt auf S. 15 einen Artikel von Dr. Arthur N. Bean "Building the Temple of Music", der einen Abriss über die gesamte Musikgeschichte gibt und im Abschnitt über nationale Schulen auch Bruckner erwähnt:

"[...] Could Germany or Austria pass by Joseph Rheinberger or Anton Bruckner, the cobbler, who by self-application and industry almost beyond the powers of man, taught himself music and so successfully wrote his accredited symphonies. [...]."
