     Now and again a new and unexpected musical experience is to be picked up in some out-of-the-way corner of London. At the Westminster Congregational Church, for instance, Mr. E. Emlyn Davies gives organ recitals on the third Thursday of every month, except in the summer, free to all, and given at the convenient hour of 6 p.m. for the benefit of people leaving business. This enterprising organist not only draws for his programmes upon composers for his instrument from Bach to Max Reger and Karg-Elert, but during the past season included such arrangements as those of movements from symphonies by Mahler and Bruckner never heard in London in their original form.
