Aufführung der 1. Symphonie durch das Wiener Sinfonie-Orchester unter Robert Heger im Großen Musikvereinssaal in Wien (*).

                Mr. Spalding In Berlin.
Albert Spalding was in Berlin last Thursday evening as solist with the Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra playing under the baton of Dr. Karl Muck. [... Auszug aus einer Kritik – "a special cable to the New York Times", diese ausführlich über Beethovens Violinkonzert und den Solisten ...]. He enjoyed the benefit of the superb accompaniment of Dr. Muck, who later had a triumph of his own in response to his incomparable presentation of Bruckner's "Seventh Symphony," a work which received the first Berlin hearing under his baton thirty-seven years ago."
