The Manchester Guardian Nr. 26321 bringt auf S. 11 eine weitere Leserzuschrift zu dem bereits am 7.1.1931 erörterten Ärgernis der gehäuften und unbegründeten Programmänderungen:
"     HALLE CONCERTS
    The Promise to Perform
[...].
When drafting ideas for inclusion in his winter programmes, presumably the Hallé conductor believes in the possibility of their attractive appeal to the public or he would not have offered Bruckner, Mahler, Sibelius, Delius, and others. In recent seasons the exasperating changes have been so numerous as to disturb the concert-going public's reliance on a publicly-announced scheme. [... 1928/29 10 Änderungen ... etc. ].
–Yours, &c.,                    HARRY COOPER.
     Reform Club, Manchester,
                        January 12."
