The Calgary Herald (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) bringt auf S. 4 einen Artikel mit Anekdoten, die teilweise so auch am 9.4.1927 zusammengestellt worden waren:

"   An Attic Salt Shaker

     Anton Bruckner, the composer, "a man with the brains of a peasant, but the soul of a real musician," to quote Walter Damrosch, was once commanded to appear before the Emperor Fran [sic] Joseph of Austria to receive a decoration. After he had been decorated, the Emperor turned to him and said very kindly:

     "Herr Bruckner, is there anything more I can do for you?

     Bruckner answered in trembling voice:

     "Won't you please speak to Mr. Hanslick (famous Viennese music critic) that he should not write such nasty criticisms about my symphonies?"

Der Artikel "Vienna "City of Music" " [vgl. 27.2.1931 etc.], in dem Bruckner als einer der Wiener Komponisten kurz erwähnt wird, erscheint auch in den Iron County News Nr. 38 (Hurley, Wisconsin) auf S. 2 (**).

Das Berliner Volksblatt "Vorwärts" Nr. 404 weist auf S. 4 auf das morgige Radioprogramm mit "Hausmusik von Anton Bruckner" hin (***).
