In The Manchester Guardian Nr. 26526 berichtet "N.
"[...] "A Prophet in the Land" is a very good specimen of its kind, as indigenious to a Three Choirs Festival as a Bruckner symphony is to Vienna. Of all the English composers heard nowadays at the Three Choirs Festival Elgar is apparently the only one who can write freely for the orchestra. [...]." (*).
Der Artikel "Vienna "City of Music" " [vgl.
