Datierung im 1. Satz der 1. Symphonie (*) bei Buchstabe G (Takt 99/100) (**).

Die Zeitung The Blackburn Standard and Weekly Express Nr. 2875 schreibt auf S. 2 in der 8. Spalte über die Londoner Richter-Konzerte [mit der 3. Symphonie am 29.6.1891]:
"     Dr. Hans Richter explains in his concert prospectus that, although established for the performances of works by Beethoven and Wagner only, it is now deemed desirable to adopt "a more extended policy." Hence the addition of works by Bach, Haydn, Cornelius, Cherubini, Brahms, Brückner, Dvorak, and Grig [sic] to the coming season's programmes. The celebrated Deutsches Requiem of Johannes Brahms, an orchestral symphony by Anton Brückner, and the overture to Der Barbier von Bagdad by Peter Cornelius are the most important novelties under the new names."
