The Sydney Morning Herald Nr. 21058 (Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) meldet auf S. 4, dass ein Amateurorchester die [Partitur (?) der] 7. Symphonie zum Geschenk erhalten hat:

"                      MUSIC AND DRAMA.

The overture to Cherubini's "Anacreon, ou l'Amour Fugitif" will be conducted by Signor Roberto Hazon for the opening of the next orchestral concert at the Town Hall on Wednesday, September 13. The history of this latest addition to the repertoire of the Sydney Amateur Orchestral Society proves that the finest music will not redeem a confused or undramatic libretto [... weitere Beispiele ... die weiteren Programmnummern ...]. In regard to A.O.S. affairs generally, subscribers will rejoice to learn of considerable additions to the library. Signor Hazon, for example, has purchased Gluck's "Iphigenia in Aulis" overture, the "Anacreon" already referred to, Wagner's "Eine Faust" overture, and Schumann's "Manfred" overture. Her Excellency Lady Northcote has donated Schubert's "Symphony in C," Bruckner's "Symphony in E," Dvorak's overture "In Nature," and the "Don Juan Fantasie" of Richard Straus [sic]. These form a strong group. In addition, Dr. Marden has given Brahm's [sic] "Symphony in D," and Dr. Charles MacLaurin has contributed Berlioz overture, "Les Francs Juges."
