                    HERBERT WITHERSPOON.
     Herbert Witherspoon returned from a season abroad to renew his American successes with a third engagement at the Worchester [sic] Festival. [... Erfolge in England ...]. He is to sing, this Festival, in Beethoven's "Ninth Symphony" and the Bruckner "Te Deum," and will also be heard in solo.

     Miss Munson will sing the contralto part in Verdi's "Requiem."

The New York Times Nr. 17967 kündigt den Besuch des Wiener Männergesangvereins für den 7. und 8.5.1907 an:
"                   400 SINGERS COMING.
Famous Vienna Choral Society to Make a Tour of the United States
     [... 2 Konzerte in der Carnegie Hall ...]. This body of singers was organized in 1843, and is one of the most famous organizations of its kind in Europe. Schumann, Meyerbeer, Mendelssohn, Liszt, Wagner, Bruckner, Johann Strauss, and other composers dedicated works to it.
     The chorus numbers 380 voices, and 180 of the singing members wil [sic] make the American tour. The whole party, however, will number 400, including about twenty women singers. [... Anreiseweg ...], and their American hosts will be the German Liederkranz of New York. They will go to Washington, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Buffalo, and Milwaukee.
     The members of the choir are of the highest business and social standing in Vienna; among them are Government officials, artists, professors, financiers, lawyers, and merchants. The President of the society is the largest hat manufacturer in Europe." (**).
