"Gossip of the Artists and the Orchestras.

     The Boston Symphony orchestra began his season last Friday afternoon and Saturday evening. [... Programm ...] Mr. Fiedler announces the following novelties for the season: There are two symphonies on the list, Bruckner's Eighth, which has never been played in Boston, and possibly never in this country, and a new symphony by Paderewski which will have its first performance anywhere when the composer-pianist visits Boston after the first of the year.
