The Buffalo Sunday Morning News Nr. 51 bringen auf S. 8 einen Artikel über Hugo Wolf, in dem Bruckner kurz erwähnt wird:

"     An article in the Chicago Record-Herald on the appreciation of Hugo Wolf, the great song composer, speaks as follows of the sad circumstances of Wolf's life:

     It appears that success in this good old world of ours is not a question of good work and actual accomplishment, but entirely one of results, material and financial. [... über Wolfs Schicksal ...].

     We have heard here possibly two per cent. of Wolf's 500 songs. We know from these that there was a man named Wolf, and that he wrote songs and other things. As to the artistic standing of this friend of Bruckner, this lonely voice from Vienna's Bohemia, we are not greatly concerned. [...]."
