The Nebraska State Journal (Lincoln, Nebraska) berichtet auf S. 20 (= S. 4 des 2. Teils) von der Ausstellung im Rahmen des Wiener Musikfestes [ab 21.6.1912], in der u. a. auch das Manuskript der 9. Symphonie gezeigt worden war:
"     In connection with the Vienna music festival, the Austrian capital has given its musical guests an added pleasure in the shape of a wonderful autograph collection exhibited at the royal library. Some of the treasures shown there are a papyrus with a fragment of Euripides' "Orestes" (recorded about the time of Christ); [... u. a. Monteverdi ("The Return of Ulysses"), Gluck, Joseph Haydn (Nationalhymne), Mozart (Requiem), Beethoven-Druck von op. 96 mit dessen Notiz:] "The copyist is an ass." Bruckner's manuscript of his ninth symphony, and manuscripts by Paganini, Schubert, Meyerbeer, Cherubini and Liszt complete the fascinating collection."
