The Spokesman-Review Nr. 119 (Spokane, Washington) kündigt auf S. 26 (= S. 2 des 3. Teils) die Aufführung des Quintetts für den 11.2.1923 an:
"        HERBST QUARTET IN CONCERT
Will Present Four Programs of Chamber Music.
     The Herbst string quartet will give the first of their series of four Sunday afternoon chamber concerts at the Central Christian church, Third and Stevens, October 15 at 4 o'clock. The dates and programs are as follows:
[... 15.10.1922, 26.11.1922 ...]
                February 11.
"Quartet Amerikan," op. 61 [sic] . . Dvorak
"Love Songs" . . . . . . . . . . . .  Brahms
"Quintet in F major" . . . . . . .  Bruckner
[... 1.4.1923 ...].
     These chamber concerts were a distinctive feature of last winter's musical season. Gottfried Herbst, the leader and originator, introduced more than one novelty [... zunehmende Publikumsresonanz ...].
    Chamber music is to a certain extent a new manifestation in this city and Mr. Herbst is fully qualified to be its interpreter. He has gathered around him the following assisting instrumentalists: Gottfried Herbst, Fred La Fond, violine; Ferdinand Sorenson, viola; Julius Blinn, cello; Miss Pauline Kimmel will play the piano in the Beethoven [Klavierquartett op. 16] and the Brahms quintets."
[Das dritte Konzert fand erst am 18.2.1923 statt und brachte Dvoraks Amerikanisches Quartett; die Quintette von Brahms und Bruckner wurden am 1.4.1923 aufgeführt.]
