Im Artikel "Seek Contributions For Mahler Memorial" in The Times-Signal Nr. 82 (Zanesville, Ohio) auf S. 7 des 2. Teils wird ein Aufruf Artur Bodanzkys für ein Mahler-Denkmal in Wien zitiert:

"[...] "Mahler was the last of the heroic family of Schubert, Brahms, Bruckner and Beethoven." It will be recalled that in 1915 [... Aufführung der Achten Mahlers unter Stokowski ... nach der New Yorker Aufführung 14 Wiederholungen in Philadelphia ...]." (*).

 

The Great Falls Tribune (Great Falls, Montana) übernimmt auf S. 23 (= S. 9 des 2. Teils) einen Artikel von Richard Aldrich in der New York Times über Walter Damrosch (mit Abbildung), in dem dessen Laufbahn und Verdienste beschrieben werden und die Aufführung der 3. Symphonie [4./5.12.1885] erwähnt wird:

"[... Lebenslauf ... Opernnovitäten ...] In  his orchestral programs Mr. Damrosch introduced the names of Bruckner and Mahler for the first time in America–the former in connection with his Third Symphony in D minor, the latter in connection with his Fourth Symphony. Much more important were the first performances of Brahm's [sic] Fourth Symphony [... Tschaikowsky, Elgar u. a. ...]." (**).
