Aufführung der 8. Symphonie durch die Tschechische Philharmonie unter Václav Talich in Bratislava (*).
Im Edmonton Journal Nr. 269 (Edmonton, Albeta, Canada) erscheint auf S. 28 der vom 28.4.1929 bekannte Artikel "Vienna Music Library Has Its First Centenary" zum hundertjährigen Jubiläum der Musiksammlung der Österreichischen Nationalbibliothek:
"[...] The Countess Apponyi handed over a valuable collection, and Anton Bruckner, out of gratitude to the Emperor, Franz Joseph, for his gift of a cottage in the Belvedere, bequeathed by legacy, all his musical scores.
A new epoch of expansion began when the collection was removed to its present home, the Friedrich Palace. [...] and also–a recent acquisition–the full score of Richard Strauss's opera, "The Egyptian Helen."–From the London Times." (**).
