In Zusammenhang mit Mahler (Aufführung von "Das Lied von der Erde" mit Übertragung) wird in der Vorbesprechung in The Manchester Guardian Nr. 26037 auf S. 12 auch Bruckner erwähnt:

"WIRELESS NOTES AND PROGRAMMES

[...].

    All this time he was creating his massive nine symphonies and the work which is to be heard to-night. The symphonies trace descent from Beethoven through Bruckner, with a strong Wagner influence, but Mahler also pursued the development of ideas which until his day were used only tentatively, [...]."
