The Fresno Bee Nr. 2845 (Fresno, California) erwähnt im Porträt von Ernest Schelling auf  S. 2, dass er Schüler Bruckners gewesen ist [Text ähnlich wie 19.10.1930]:

"       Famed Pianist Wields Baton

     Schelling made his public debut as a pianist at the age of 4 1/2 years. At 7 years he was studying in Paris; at 8 years he made a concert tour of Europe. He began his studies in the Paris Conservatoire under Mathias, and continued with Moszkowski, Gotschius, Bruckner, Leschetizky, Huber, Barth and Paderewski, with whom he worked for three years.

     During the World War he was a captain in the American Army and was decorated with the Distinguished Service Medal by the United States and with the Legion of Honor by France.     [...]"
