Brief Josef Schalks an Franz Schalk:

     Bruckner sei vorgestern [!] nach Wien zurückgekehrt, »sehr wohl aussehend und in bester Laune« (*).
 
Die Zeitung St. Louis Post-Dispatch Nr. 312 informiert auf S. 3 über die Proben zum "Te deum" [am 1.12.1891]:
"                   RELIGIOUS NEWS.
[...]
     The rehearsals for the performance of Bruckner's Te Deum by the chorus at Archbishop Kenrick's Jubilee, will begin for the southern section on Tuesday, Sept. 29, in St. Vincent's School hall; for the northern section on Wednesday, Sept. 30, in St. Liborius' School hall, and for the central and western division on Thursday, Oct. 1, in St. Bridget's School hall. Singers not belonging to any church choir are cordially invited to join by applying any day to Mr. Joseph Otten at Bollman Bros. Co., between 12 and 1 o'clock or between 5 and 6 p. m., at his residence, 2833 Chestnut street." (**).
