Die Musikalische Rundschau Nr. 29 schreibt auf S. 251:
"          Concerte.
[...]
     - Das Programm des philharmonischen Chors in Berlin (Dir.: Siegfried Ochs) enthält eine Reihe bedeutender moderner Tonschöpfungen: »Prometheus von Fr. Liszt, »Gralsenen« [sic] aus »Parsifal«, »Romeo und Julia« von Berlioz und Bruckners »Te deum«." (**).

Auf S. 256 (Monatsbeilage "Blätter für Kirchenmusik") wird Bruckners Orgelspiel am 4.10.1891 erwähnt:
"          Kirchenmusik.
     - Unter den Aufführungen der letzten Wochen sind hervorzuheben: [...] In der Pfarrkirche Alservorstadt: Messe von Mozart. Am Schlusse eine Fuge über die Volkshymne vom k. k. Hoforganisten Bruckner gespielt." (***).

Brief von Julius von Wiesner an Bruckner:
   Er habe soeben mit Dekan Hann gesprochen. Bruckner könne sich nun als Ehrendoktor betrachten, alles weitere sei Formsache. Der Ausdruck »Symphoniker« werde im Diplom nicht vergessen werden (°).

Schreiben der Niederösterreichischen Escompte-Gesellschaft an Bruckner:
     Bittet um Zusendung der Bestätigung des am 16.7.1891 zugesandten Kontoauszuges (°°).

Die St. Louis Post-Dispatch Nr. 341 berichtet auf S. 5 in der 3. Spalte von einem Zwischenfall bei der "Te deum"-Probe am 15.10.1891 [Konzert am 1.12.1891]:
"     COLORED SINGERS.
They Cause Dissension in the Kenrick Jubilee Chorus.
AN UNFORTUNATE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CENTRAL CHORAL DISTRICT.
[...]
     The central division of the Kenrick Jubilee Chorus, composed of the members of the Catholic Church choirs now practicing under the leadership of Mr. Joseph Otten, is at present suffering from a somewhat unfortunate division in its choral strength. The trouble arises from the presence in that division of a colored choir, the singers of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church (colored), at Eleventh and Gay streets, [... die anderen Chöre dieser Sektion] are now in the midst of a difficulty based upon each individual choir's objection to being placed next to the colored singers during the regular rehearsals of the central division, which are held every Thursday evening in St. Bridget's Church, corner of Carr street and Jefferson avenue.
     The unfortunate dissension which dates back to the beginning of the Jubilee Chorus rehearsals on Oct. 1, culminated last Thursday in an almost open revolt at rehearsal [... übermorgen Wiederholung der Szene möglich ... ].
     [...] The choir comprises twenty singers, six male and fourteen female, and they went into the chorus work with great enthusiasm. The grand numbers being practiced for the chorus features of the Kenrick Jubilee were the famous "Te Deum" of the German composer, Bruckner, which will then be sung for the first time in this country, and a part of the "Gloria" from Mozart's mass. Into these great selections the colored choir was prepared to go hand in hand with its white fellow-choirs of the Central District.
     But, while the choirs of the other churches recognized in the abstract the first Catholic principle that all men are equal in the sight of God, they apparently allowed race prejudice to influence them to a deplorable degree in their musical association with the colored choristers.      "The revolt against the colored choir was a most important affair, but I think it is now suppressed. [... bedauerlich und unbegründet ...]. I hope there will be no trouble at the next rehearsal, and I don't believe there will be." " (°°°).
