Symphonie [am 1./2.3.1901]: "MUSIC THIS week will bring the tenth season of the Chicago Orchestra to a close as far as the concerts here are concerned. [... Konzerte in St. Louis und fünf anderen Städten ...] [... statistische Übersicht (Beethoven uund Richard Wagner an der Spitze) ...]; and twenty-five composers who will have been represented each by a single work. [... Statistik der Werke (Beethoven an der Spitze) ...] Aside from the Beethoven cycle, the season has contained little that has been espescially remarkable. Some eighteen compositions have been played for the first time at these concerts in the course of the twenty-two weeks, but while the majority of them have been interesting few of them gave promise of taking a permanent place in the repertory. [... nämlich Vincent d'Indy, Glasunow, Fibich ...]. [... Solisten ... Werkgattungen ...] The symphonies will include all the Beethoven except the first two; [... Schumann, Schubert etc. ...], Saint-Saens' second; Bruckner's third; Goldmark's "Country Wedding"; Svendsen's first; [... symphonische Dichtungen ...]." (**).
