The Chicago Tribune (The Chicago Sunday Tribune Nr. 21) informiert auf S. 21 über das Mozartfest in Salzburg mit der 4. Symphonie [am 13.8.1904]:
"     A Mozart musical festival will be given in Salzburg, the composers's birthplace [...]. An announcement just at hand gives the program, which is as follows: On Aug. 12 the C minor mass; on Aug. 13 the overture and act II. of "Die Entführung aus dem Serail," a violin concerto, and Bruckner's fourth symphony; on Aug. 14 Mozart's G minor string quartet [sic], [... andere Werke ...]. Among the participants in this festival the program mentions the Philharmonic society of Vienna, under the direction of Von Schuch of Dresden; Mmes. Lilli Lehmann, Erika Wedekind, and Edyth Walker; Messrs. Burrian Mayr and Egenieff, Eugene Ysaye, Eugen d'Albert, the Fitzner String Quartet, and the Prill String Quartet of Vienna." (°°).

The Salt Lake Tribune Nr. 36 (Salt Lake City, Utah) gibt auf S. 29 einen kurzen Überblick über das Musikfest [mit der 9. Symphonie am 14.5.1904]:
"            Cincinnati Musical Festival.
     On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday of last week the biennial musical festival was held at Cincinnati. Theodore Thomas was the conductor, as he has been since the first festival in 1873. [... die Solisten ...]. The programmes included Bach's mass in B minor, Beethoven's mass and his Ninth Symphony, Elgar's "Gerontius," Berlioz's "Imperial Hymn," a symphony by Bruckner, and a tone-poem by Strauss. There were five concerts in all." (°°°).
