[Datum richtig?] Im Musikalischen Wochenblatt berichtet Theodor Helm auf S. 296 (»Musikbrief Wien«) über die Aufführung der 1. Symphonie am 15.3.1905 (***).
Bruckner als Lehrer von Emil Paur wird in The Akron Beacon Journal Nr. 129 (Akron, Ohio) auf S. 12 erwähnt:
" GREAT FESTIVAL OF MUSIC AND SONG
Famous Pittburg Orchestra Coming to This City.
[...]
On May 27. Akron will have the pleasure of hearing the Pittsburg orchestra, without a doubt the greatest in the country. [... Solistin Johanna Gadski (Abbildung), Konzertmeister von Kunitz [Kunits] ...].
Emil Pauer [sic], Conductor.
Emil Paur, whose term as conductor of the Pittsburg orchestra was inaugurated with the opening concert of the tenth season last november [... erfolgreiche Konzerte ...].
Emil Paur is about 42 years old and was born at Czernovitz, Austria. When a young man, he entered the Vienna conservatory of music, where he was a pupil of Hellmesberger, Dessoff and Anton Bruckner. After several years as a member of the Imperial opera house [... weitere Stationen ... über die Solistin ...]." (°).
