Der Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (Rochester, New York) informiert auf S. 14 über Gustav Mahler:
"     Gustav Mahler, it is announced, will conduct at the Metropolitan Opera House the coming season, beginning January 5, 1908. [.... 10 Jahre Hofoper Wien ...]. He took the philosophical course at the University of Vienna, and studied the pianoforte with Epstein and composition and counterpoint with Bruckner at the Conservatory. [... Kassel, Prag, Leipzig etc. ...]." (*).
 
Datierung "Am 30./VI.1907" in der Orgelstimme der Orgelübertragung der Vokalstimmen des "Libera me" (WAB 22), die laut einer Notiz Adolf Trittingers von Johann Haybäck erstellt wurde (**).
