"             THE HALLÉ CONCERTS.
PROSPECTUS FOR THE JUBILEE SEASON.
    The characteristics of the music chosen for the Jubilee Season of the Hallé Concerts are greatness and popularity. [... die Jugend habe andere Ideen dazu ...]. According to this idea we ought to have this year Strauss's seven symphonic poems, Bruckner's eternal nine symphonies, the symphonies of Mahler and Weingartner, a rigorous course of Reger, [... Vorschau auf die tatsächlich geplanten Orchester- und Chorwerke ...].
     The novelties are few, but exceedingly well chosen. An explanation of their fewness may be found in the expensiveness of their production. We understand that both Bantock's "Omar Khayyam" and Bruckner's "Te Deum" will necessitate special printing. Mr. Bantock could be denied no longer. [... über das Werk ...]. The production of Bruckner's "Te Deum" is a most welcome surprise. The choice of the work is Dr. Richter's, and he is understood to regard it as one of the greatest choral works of the time. [...].
