Auf Seite 8 wird Bruckner nochmals erwähnt in einer Konzertbesprechung:
"MISS EDITH ROBINSON'S QUARTET CONCERTS.
[... über ein Klavierquintett von Donald Tovey ... fremde Einflüsse ...]. But while it is both spontaneous and intellectual, the intellectual features of the work fail to arrest interest through being "writ too large." We have had something of the same experience in the works of Bruckner and Rubinstein, to take examples from composers of undoubted genius. That Mr. Tovey's music has, like theirs, an unmistakable flavour to compensate us we were not able to find at a first hearing of his music. [... weitere Programmpunkte ...].
