In The Brooklyn Daily Eagle Nr. 278 wird auf  S, 13 die kommende Konzertsaison vorgestellt, u. a. mit der 5. Symphonie [am 14.12.1911]:

"INSTITUTE CONCERTS START WITH RECITAL

     Max Fiedler, conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, now in Boston, sojourned, last summer, at Garmisch, Bavaria, almost next door to Richard Strauss, whom he often met. [... leider "Alpensymphonie" (zweiteilig: deskriptiv (skizziert) und meditativ (im Kopf entworfen)) noch nicht fertig ...].

     He gives in Boston today the first performance anywhere of Reger's new "Comedy Overture," the score and parts of which he brought with him fresh from the printers; [... Debussy ... Solisten ... Termine der fünf Konzerte [in Brooklyn] ... zur Konzertsaison in Brooklyn, darunter Jugendkonzerte von Walter Damrosch ... weitere Konzertprojekte ...].

     Josef Stransky, the new conductor of the New York Philharmonic Society, has sent to Loudon Charlton the list of works to be performed at the concerts this season. [... Beispiele ...].

     As to symphonies, they will include [... 9 Komponisten ...], Berlioz's "Symphony Fantastique," Bruckner's "No. V," the rendition of which has won for Stransky especial praise in Berlin [Herbst 1910]; Mahler's "No. V," [... etc. ... 24 Symphonien von 16 Komponisten ...].

     Mr. Stransky''s selection of overtures extends from Mozart and Gluck to [... weitere Werke ... andere Konzertreihen ...]" (**).
