Ankündigung der 5. Symphonie [am 14.12.1911] in The Sun Nr. 38 auf S. 23 (= S. 9 des 2. Teils):
" THE PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY.
Announcement of Works to Be Given Under Joseph Stransky.
Josef Stransky, the new conductor of the New York Philharmonic Society, has sent to Loudon Charlton the list of works to be performed at the concerts this season. [... Beispiele ...].
The conductor's catholicity of taste is revealed by his choice of symphonies, which include [... Beethoven, Haydn, Mozart und weitere, auch "nichtkatholische" Beispiele ...], Berlioz's "Symphony Fantastique," Bruckner's No. V., the rendition of which has won for Stransky especial praise in Berlin [Herbst 1910]; Mahler's No. V., [... etc. ... 24 Symphonien von 16 Komponisten ... weitere Werke ...]." (**).
The New York Times Nr. 19615 kündigt (ohne religiösen Bezug!) ebenfalls die Konzertsaison auf S. 76 (= S. 8 des 7. Teils) an:
" Josef Stransky, the new conductor of the New York Philharmonic
