Once upon a time there lived and flourished upon the tops of the Southside mountains a youth who answered to the pleasant Scotch-Presbyterian name of Chester MacKee. It's a long voyage from Grandview avenue to Vienna but that's where Herr MacKee has gone.

Herr MacKee is conducting the Vienna Symphony orchestra this month. He is directing the Bruckner "Eighth," Debussy "Nocturne," the "Seven Veils" and "Finale" from Strauss' "Salome." In addition Mme. Gutheil-Schroeder [recte Gutheil-Schoder] is singing some of his songs with orchestral accompaniment. Among them being "Midi' and Dagemara." [... man höre] that Mr. MacKee is in line for a permanent position." (***).
