Artikel in der Salzburger Chronik Nr. 172 mit Bericht von der gestrigen Probe der 7. Symphonie, einer Würdigung des Werks und Ankündigung des Konzerts am 31.7.1924. Die d-Moll-Messe habe Domkapellmeister F. X. Gruber an Ostern aufgeführt (*).

Die Reichspost Nr. 208 teilt auf S. 8 mit, dass anlässlich des Silbernen Priesterjubiläums von Dr. Anton Thix am 27.7.1924 im Festgottesdienst in Leoben das "Virga Jesse" durch den Waasenchor unter Prof. Eduard Möldner aufgeführt wurde (**).

Der Passaic Daily Herald Nr. 9668 (Passaic, New Jersey) bringt auf S. 6 den vom 6.7.1924 bekannten Text über das Urheberrecht:

"  COPYRIGHT LAW IN AUSTRIA

     At the general meeting of the Austrian Authors' Society it was pointed out that while the rights of authors and composers in France are protected for fifty years, and in Italy and Spain for eighty years, the rights of Austrians (and also of Germans) expires [sic] after a lapse of thirty years. Thus in some cases the descendants have been exposed to something like starvation. In two years Bruckner will be "free"; in three years Brahms, and in five years Johann Strauss. In a resolution the meeting demanded the introduction of the fifty years' protection period for the Austrians' works." (***).
