Die Österreichische Volkszeitung Nr. 227 meldet auf S. 8, dass bei der Musik- und Theaterausstellung [Herbst 1924] eine Ausstellung "Ernste Musik in Wien, von Bruckner bis auf die jüngste Gegenwart" gezeigt wird (*).

 

The Brooklyn Daily Eagle Nr. 228 macht auf S. 18 auf das heutige Konzert aufmerksam: "MUSIC NOTES     The closing week of Stadium concerts by the Philharmonic Orchestra will have four programs of especial interest to lovers of music. [... Auswertung von Tausenden von Stimmzetteln für das letzte Programm: Tschaikowskys Sechste führend, Wagner, Liszt, Johann Strauss ... weitere Vorschläge ...].     In addition to the  "Fire Bird" Suite tonight, the Philharmonic Orchestra will play the Introduction to Act III of "Lohengrin," the Adagio movement from Bruckner's Eighth Symphony, James P. Dunn's Overture on Negro Themes and Mendelssohn's "Fingal's Cave" Overture.    Goldmark's "Sakuntala" Overture [... morgiges Programm und das vom Dienstag ...]." (**).

 

Eine inhaltlich ähnliche Ankündigung erscheint in The Standard Union Nr. 47 (Brooklyn) auf S. 14:

"  'Pathetic' Symphony Voted For Final Stadium Concert

     With four concerts beginning tomorrow [sic] night, the Stadium Concerts will close their seventh season on Wednesday evening. [... Programme ... Auswahlverfahren und Abstimmungsergebnisse für das 4. Konzert ...].

     In addition to the  "Fire Bird" Suite, to-night, Mr. Van Hoogstraten and the Philharmonic Orchestra will play the Introduction to Act III of "Lohengrin," the Adagio movement from Bruckner's Eighth Symphony, James P. Aufführung des Adagios der 8. Symphonie als zweitem Programmpunkt durch das New York Philharmonic Orchestra unter Willem van Hoogstraten im Lewisohn Stadium in New York. Außerdem stehen auf dem Programm Richard Wagners Vorspiel zum 3. Akt Lohengrin, die Overture on Negro Themes von James P. Dunn, Mendelssohns "Hebriden"-Ouvertüre und Strawinskys "Feuervogel"-Suite (°).

 

Ankündigung von vier proletarischen Feierstunden im Schauspielhaus und vier großen Festkonzerten des Bezirksbildungsausschusses in der Berliner Philharmonie für die kommende Saison, darunter am 12.10.1924 ein Beethoven-Bruckner-Programm (mit einer d-Moll-Symphonie: 3. Symphonie), im Berliner Volksblatt "Vorwärts" Nr. 386 auf S. 7 (°°).
