Aufführung der 7. Symphonie unter Georg Dohrn in Breslau (*).

 

Das Santa Ana Register Nr. 72 (Santa Ana, California) informiert auf S. 7 über Walter Henry Rothwell, der auch Schüler Bruckners gewesen ist [Text nahezu identisch mit dem vom 15.9.1923]:

"     [...] at the age of nine he entered the Royal Academy of Music, in Vienna, where his piano teachers were Rauch, Schenner and Prof. Julius Epstein, while he studied counterpoint and composition and also history of music with Hans Krenn, Robert Fuchs and Anton Bruckner.     [... in München bei ...] Ludwig Thuille and Dr. Max von Schillings.

     In his seventeenth year he became widely known as a pianist throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland and he was especially engaged as teacher of the piano for several members of the royal family at Vienna. [...]." (**).
