The Evening Journal Nr. 152 (Wilmington, Delaware) kommentiert auf S. 11 die kürzliche Rundfunkübertragung [vom 1.12.1927 mit der 9. Symphonie]:

"CRITICISM AFTER CONCERT

     Will concert and possibly theatrical audiences of the near future receive their critics' impressions  of musical and dramatic performances by radio immediately following the presentation?

     Those who heard the Bruckner Syphony [sic] played by the New York Philharmonic Society at a recent concert and broadcast by Station WOR, heard immediately after the presentation of the symphony the critical impressions of I. A. Hirschmann, one of New Yorks's foremost authorities in symphony music. [...] probably the first time in the history of music that a criticism had been presented less than one minute after the rendition of a composition [...]." (**).
