The Constitution Nr. 203 (The Atlanta Constitution, Atlanta, Georgia) macht auf S. 18 (= S. 4 des 2. Teils) auf die heutige Radioübertragung der 8. Symphonie (um 13:00 Uhr [andere Zeitzone]) aufmerksam: "405.2 Meters WSB 740 Kilocycles Studios Biltmore Hotel [...] 1::00–Roxy: Symphony orchestra, NBC. 2:00–National Youth Conference, [...]   *    *    *    *     Musicians and laymen who are interested in the movement to educate the American musical public to appreciation of the works of Bruckner, will find an important impetus to their causes provided by the announcement that Anton Bruckner's eighth symphony will be broadcast for the first time over the air by the Roxy Symphony orchestra, under the direction of Erno Rapee, this afternoon at 1 o'clock through station WJZ and associated stations of the National Broadcasting Company, including WSB." (**).

Ein Hinweis erscheint auch in The Brooklyn Times (Times Union) auf S. 64 (= S. 6 des Zeitungsteils):

"Roxy Increases Orchestra

     Thirty men have been added to the personnel [... mit 125 Musikern das größte Orchester des Landes ...].

     The program this afternoon for the ensemble's radio concert comprises the eighth symphony of Bruckner. Due to its length, no other work will be played." (***).

Einen weiteren Hinweis bringt The Sun (The Baltimore Sun, Maryland) auf S. 44 (= S. 8 des Zeitungsteils):

"     Anton Bruckner's Eighth Symphony will be broadcast for the first time over the air by the Roxy Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Erno Rapee, today at 2 P. M., through Station WJZ and associated stations of the National Broadcasting Company, including WBAL.

     Due to the length of the symphony, which will be played in its entirety, taking up the hour of the concert, there will be no other selections on the program." (°).

Aufführung der 8. Symphonie durch das Roxy Symphony Orchestra unter Erno Rapee um 14:00 [vermutlich im Roxy Theatre in New York], mit Rundfunkübertragung [siehe die Anmerkung] (°°).
