The Manchester Guardian Nr. 19154 erwähnt Bruckner im Jahresrückblick auf S. 5f:
"                     MUSIC IN 1907.
COMPOSERS AND THEIR WORKS.
          MANCHESTER'S RECORD.
The two most noteworthy events in the world of music during 1907 have been the death of Joachim an August 15 and the death of Grieg on September 4. [... ausführlich über diese beiden, Ludwig Thuille, Richard Strauss (Salome) ... Konzerte ... Max Reger (für manche der "leading composer of the world") ... August Bungert ...]. He can be enjoyed by anyone in private and in morsels, but not so Bruckner or Gustav Mahler, whose huge Choral Symphony has just been given in London. In the spring the Third Bruckner Symphony [3. Symphonie am 28.2.1907] proved one of the best things at the Hallé Concerts, but we make terribly slow progress in getting to know these composers. Mr. Felix Weingartner continues to write most fluently [... Wagner-Opern ("Ring" in Englisch geplant) ... etc. ...].  S. L."
