Aufführung der 3. Symphonie durch das Wiener Konzertvereinsorchester unter Martin Spörr im Großen Saal des Wiener Konzerthauses. Solistinnen in einem Duett aus Mozarts "Figaro" sind Steffi Freyer und Louise Kornfeld (**).

 

The Boston Globe Nr. 11 macht auf S. 39 auf das Konzert mit der 9. Symphonie [am 16./17.1.1914] aufmerksam:

"Harold Bauer, Soloist at the Symphony Concerts

     Dr Muck's annual offering of a Bruckner sympony [sic] is set for this week when he will play the ninth or "Unfinished" symphony of the great Austrian master. This ninth symphony of Bruckner's has appeared but twice on the Boston programs of the orchestra, in 1904 when Mr Gericke played it and in the Fall of 1907 when Dr Muck performed ist. The Bruckner symphony will occupy the first part of the program.

     The second part will be devoted to Brahm's [sic] concerto for pinaforte [sic] in D minor, No. 1, opus 14. The soloist will be Harold Bauer. This cencerto [sic] has been played but once at a Symphony concert here, and then by Bauer in the Fall of 1900." (***).
