The Tidings Nr. 22 (Los Angeles, California), die Wochenzeitung der Diözese Los Angeles und San Diego, berichtet auf S. 4, dass bei der Einweihungsfeier des Linzer Domes auch Werke Bruckners [z. B. d-Moll-Messe am 1.5.1924] aufgeführt wurden:

"EIGHT LARGEST CATHEDRAL OF WORLD DEDICATED WITH MAGNIFICENT CEREMONIES

     Vienna, May 10.–For the first time in many years, Europe saw, in the last days of April, the imposing ceremonies marking the completion of one of the great cathedrals of the world. [...]. For three days, April 29 to May 1, rites were conducted [... anwesende kirchliche Würdenträger ... Beschreibung des Domes ... Ablauf der Feiern, anwesende Prominenz ...].

     Armenian singers, a choir of Ukrainian students and the splendid choir of the Linz Cathedral competed in the musical setting of the ceremonies. For the Roman Catholic High Mass, the Cathedral choir chose the works of the most famous composers of Upper Austria, notably Bruckner.
