Aufführung des "Ave Maria" [WAB 6] in der amerikanischen Textfassung "O Lord Most Holy" durch den a-capella-Chor des College of the Pacific (San Jose, California) unter C. M. Dennis als vorletzte Vokalnummer.

Bei den anderen 31 Werken wirken mit: das Arion Trio, die Sopranistin Esther Hornaday, der Tenor Kenneth MacKenzie, der Bariton Walline Knoles, die Sopranistin Olive Bryson, die Geigerin Josephine Holub, die Pianistin Bernice Rose und die Sopranistin Dorothy Dennis.

Das zweistündige Konzert wird von 20 bis 22 Uhr vom Rundfunk übertragen [siehe die Anmerkung] (##).

 

Die Oakland Tribune Nr. 152 kündigt auf S. 4 an, dass derselbe Chor Bruckners "O Lord Most Holy" ["Ave Maria"] auch beim morgigen Gottesdienst singen wird:

"Dr. Knoles To Preach At First M. E.

     The First Methodist Episcopal church, Broadway and Twenty-fourth street, is observing what might be called College of the Pacific Sunday at both the morning and evening services tomorrow.

     At 11 o'clock, Dr. Tully C. Knowles, president of the College of the Pacific, will preach. [...].

     The music for the morning service will be under the direction of Mrs. E. H. Garthwaite, who will substitute for Mrs. Mrs. E. W. Roland for the morning service. The special numbers are as follows: [... die einzelnen Werke und die Mitwirkenden ...].

     In the evening at 7:30 o'clock, the A Capella Choir and Allan Bacon, organist of the College of the Pacific, will have charge of the service. Mr. Bacon has won for himself a high place among the solo organists of the Bay region.
