The Chicago Tribune Nr. 152 meldet auf S. 56 in der 4. Spalte die Linzer Aufführung von "Trösterin Musik", Adagio des Quintetts, Gloria der f-Moll-Messe und der 5. Symphonie [am 23.3.1902]:
"     In the year 1897 the city of Linz, Austria, voted a sum of money for the performance, year after year, of all the compositions of Anton Bruckner. This year's program included "Die Trösterin," the adagio from the string quintet, the Gloria of the F-minor mass, and the fifth symphony. It will take about twenty-five years to go through the whole list of compositions."
